Join MOA
The Minneapolis Officials Association (MOA) is actively seeking new officials. The path to becoming a member is a multi-step process that requires registration with both the MOA and the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). We recommend completing all steps several weeks before your sport's season begins.

First, please complete the [MOA Application Form]. An MOA representative will respond to your submission via email, typically within a few days. Concurrently, you must pay your annual dues before the start of the season. First-year officials (excluding transfers with varsity experience) are eligible for a reduced rate of $30.

Next, you must register with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). Be aware that MSHSL registration for each sport closes about one week prior to the start of the season. For detailed instructions, you can review the [MSHSL Registration Process] or watch this [Instructional Video]. When you are ready to register, use the appropriate link: [New Officials] or [Returning Officials]. For any technical issues with the MSHSL registration portal, contact Arbiter Support at 800-311-4060.

Finally, all new members must attend their sport's pre-season meeting, which is scheduled 2-3 weeks before the season begins. This meeting is essential for mentor assignment, training on the Arbiter scheduling software, and learning officiating basics.
